In the carib can you just get off the ship and walk or are there free shuttle buses?

Princess Cays is a longstanding leased by Princess private Bahamian Island .and the tenders take you right to the beach/quay landing....
as for the Caribbean Islands I've been to recently... no FREE shuttle buses in a long long time.. taxis, buses, and "tour buses" available for fee..

Ocho Rios.AND Montego Bay!!...=eek.... be prepared for the mob mentality of vendors.. we actually will NOT get off in Jamaica anymore.. it's horrendous.dozens of folks "insist" on doing my hair as it's very long.No Thank YOU... offers of "company for a good time"....we BOTH had offers..clutching each other hard( and my DH is 6'2" and weighs 240 pounds we got the h*ll outta there..and it goes downhill after that.. badgering in the pedestrian area to BUY from ME shops folks!!...
.. the cabs FROM the ship are IMHO worth getting but the vendors are a nightmare..:worried..so only will use the at the pier International Quay shopping..it's fenced /gated/ lock down in..and ZOOM back to the ship..it's an actual peaceful sea day
if you DO go past the International at the pier gate...and are brave enough to go to the real downtown area..... after that going out the gate you get accosted by a billion folks and to actually go downtown is a never ever happening again.JMHO!!.. Jamaica is stunning.. but it has gone to rack and ruination to us with vendors......Happy sailing..Joanne and Mark..

ocho rios= if you dock at the one pier you can walk to island village. Its within the compound and people will not bother you. At island village is Margarittaville. A pricy tourist trap.
suggestion to you--- book a tour either through the cruiselines or through a private vendor.
if no tour== stay on the ship or walk to Island village.
