If anyone is interested in viewing these deck plans, I found a site that has them. (not sure if the Princess site has them yet.)

Anyone know what the big changes will be with this ship? It looks incredibly similar to the Grand!

It appears from the deck plans that the main difference is the addition of one more passenger deck called the Riviera Deck. Of course this adds to the passenger capacity. In my most recent Princess "Captain's Circle" they indicate that the ship will have an outdoor movie theater in the vicinity of one of the pools, so you can swim and watch a movie at the same time. I guess that's about as exciting as rock climbing,LOL.

The idea of the theater is a neat one, but I like to escape the noise of TV when I'm laying out by the pool.

I like the rock climbing, roller blading and ice skating on the Voyager Class ships, but I'm not sure about this big TV yet. Guess I'll have to find out from experiencing it.... :grin

I am booked on this ship and I have to say the movie/pool thing sounds dumb to me. It was one of the few things that actually made us think twice before booking! I mean an outdoor theatre will be a pain, imagine people walking around in front of you, people splashing you, someone next to you leaning over their lounger to put lotion on their hubbys back, all while your trying to watch a movie, AND how loud would it have to be so you could even hear it above all the normal noise??? Ugh , just thinking about it is nasty:)

I agree p.g. Also, do you have any idea how hard it will be for all those men to be there watching that TV screen and not have a remote control in their hands, flipping from channel to channel? :grin

I'll let you know how it was as we are going on the May 15 voyage. We're really looking forward to it--movie screen by the pool and all. I've been on 3 voyages on the Grand Princess, 1on Celebrity, 1 on Dolphin (no longer running) 1 on NCL, 1 on HAL, 1 on Carnival, 8 on RCCL. Guess you can say I love to cruise...LOL. I'll post a review when we get back home. In October '04 we're planning the Pamama Canal on Celebrity.

I think the idea is to have everyone sitting in deck chairs and watching the movie as if at a drive-in theater. I don't think it's for passengers to be swimming with the movie in the background.
