Caribbean Princess

Hello! I am a die-hard Carnival fan but I'm considering a Cruise on the Caribbean Princess this summer. What differences can I expect? Do they handle tips differently? Do beverages cost about the same? Are the shows each evening entertaining? Just wondering if I'm going to find any surprises good or bad! :) Thanks. By the way, I LOVE this forum!

:clap:Cruizer gives great info..we were on her last October for a 7 day Back to Back out of NYC..Canada/New England .
She was in outstanding shape..some of the nicest crew we have EVER had.one fella in the international Cafe was on his 18th year..he was so kind..all of the kids were....
one of the best sailings ever too.would go on her again in a heart-beat..

WAIT.oh yeah we are..:)..next year for 14 days..
Don't forget to consider a FCC-Future cruise credit on board( at the Cruise consultant office).
we have never sailed Carnival..but we've been on 16 Princess. They are wonderful..Happy Research...:)..Joanne

Thanks so much to Cruizer and Cruise Cutie for their responses. It was just the help I needed. I think we will try a Princess Cruise next!

I sailed on her 2 years ago and had a wonderful cruise. She's a great ship and I had a really great cabin steward. They had tried something different, a 3 day cruise. The staff were a little confused not being used to such a quick turn around, but they were very accomodating. We're sailing on the Crown in December and I can't wait. My dream is to sail every ship in their fleet, at least once:)

The price for beverages is comparable to Carnival, the entertainment is VERY good, sometimes exceptional. The ship's layout is easy to navigate. The buffet area is great, they have the best pastries, bread, and pizza of any of the cruise lines I've been on (at least to my taste). We've sailed Carnival, Celebrity, HAL, Costa, NCL, and Princess.

The Movies Under the Stars is really a treat, do try that at least once. The Sanctuary is great for an afternoon away from the crowds. The International Cafe has excellent gelato, too!

Hope you have a marvelous cruise!
