These will affect new bookings only:

MINIMUM AGE

Infants must be at least six (6) months of age at the beginning of the cruise to be eligible to travel. For Transatlantic, Hawaii and South America cruises only, infants must be at least twelve (12) months of age at the beginning of the cruise to travel.

PREGNANCY

Guests that will be 25 weeks or more into their pregnancy by the end of the cruise will not be permitted to sail. Guests that will be 24 weeks or less into their pregnancy by the end of the cruise are required to provide Carnival with a physician's letter stating that mother and baby are in good health, fit to travel and the pregnancy is not high-risk.

You know, I've seen some VERY pregnant women on cruises and wondered what in the world they were thinking. Good risk management on Carnival's part....could you imagine the law suit if someone went into pre-term labor on a ship and they didn't have facilities to care for an infant who might have made it at a hospital????
