I was wondering if anyone can tell me what route the conquest takes when leaving New Orleans.

I need to expand my question. Does it go down the Mississippi River or thru the pass on
Lake Pontchartrain.

Down the Mississippi River all the way into the Gulf of Mexico; takes about 8 hours to reach the mouth of the river.

I am going to be on the Conquest on Oct 5th and I have been told that ALL rooms(even the cheap seats) have a refrigerator??Could some one please verify that? Anyone else going with me as I have found a few people but any more? How big is the safe and how does it work?

Yes, every room on the Conquest has a refrigerator stocked with many goodies! You can have your cabin steward empty it out if you would like, or you can drink and munch away the entire cruise! You'll have to get somebody else to fill you in on the safe.....if I'm remembering correctly, they are a pretty good size. I thought that you could ONLY use your S&S card to lock and unlock, but you can use any card that has a magnetic strip...credit card, etc....and it will do the same...I never tried that, but that's what "they" say.

The safe was about 6 x 8 x 14. You can use your sink or swim card, but a credit card is preferred, that way if your s&s gets away from you someone doesn't have your room key and your safe key. I am not sure if the stewards "master key" would open the safe if you used your s&s, but it is something to think about.

We just got back from a cruise on the Conquest (7/13-7/20) and our room DID NOT have a refrigerator. I thought I was just not finding it, but unless there was a secret compartment behind a wall, there wasn't one in our room.
The safe is big enough to hold your important stuff. (Purse, cell phones, money credit cards, etc.) However, I don't think you can use your S & S card to lock/unlock it. But any card with a magnetic strip does work.

That's very strange Mike D, that you didn't have one. What room did you stay in? We were on the Riviera Deck ("cheap seats") and had one. They are sort of "masked" by the cherry cabinets in the room, but I could almost swear that all rooms had them. Did you ask your cabin steward? I'm just bumfuzzled by this! Ok...well maybe they ALL don't have one!
