I was just wondering if anyone out there knows anything about the coupon book that Carnival issues ? I checked with my Carnival rep but all he said was that Carnival sends them out to past guest that take more than one cruise a year, which we don't but we have taken at least one a year and I no longer feel I can believe what the rep says as when I booked our next cruise for May 30 he told that if the price dropped before cruise he could get us a room credit and it has dropped but when I called to ask him he now says that's not true and that Carnival doesn't do that and he didn't say that to me............. this was after booking I asked the questions before booking, also when I asked him to email me cruise prices he said he couldn't do that as then I would have it in writing and they can't do that and we have used this same person to book us on our last 5 cruises I will not be using him on our next booking........Is there any other way to get one of these? Thanks for you help.........

Carnival does send the coupn books to past guests who book more than one cruise in a calendar year. Although I have seen TA's advertise that you can sometimes get a bonus book when you use their services. I've taken a Carnival cruise every year since 1999 and I've never gotten one. My retired friends (multi cruises each year) used to get them until they switched cruiselines last year. The pvp is correct in stating that CC will not fax or email cruise prices to you because the price of the cruise can change several times a day and nothing is locked in until you make your reservation and pay the deposit. I once had the price of a cruise go up $40 while I was on the phone with the TA.

I think it was back in December of 2008 that Carnival changed it's policy on OBC's and price drops and introduced the new "Saver" booking options. You should check their website.
