does carnival have casual dining in a different resturant (not paying extra) on formal nites- not into getting dressed up!

On our last cruise, we did not dress up either. There were others eating in the main dining room who did not dress up, so we did not skip the dining room. No one seemed to notice that we were not dressed up.

Hello ch12, Just because people weren't rude enough to comment on your clothes, that does not mean that the other people didn't notice.

Perhaps reading a bit on how others feel on this subject would give you a different perspective. Take a look at this recent thread. You'll see that some people agree with you, so it may not convince you to dress up before attending the dining room on formal night, but at least you won't think that other people don't notice.

dress up is requested so honor the occassion & dress up!! if you dont want to dress up go casual, buffet, pizza, room service, sanwhiches, burgers... a ton of other stuff. have fun!!!
