I recommend renting a van and driving there. There are several rent-a-car companies (such as Avis and Hertz) with offices in both the Orlando airport and Cocoa Beach.

You can rent the van at the airport and turn it in at the rental office in Cocoa Beach. Then catch a free shuttle from the rental office to the ship. That is how I did it.

I recently did one way rentals from Orlando to Avis in Port Canaveral and they shuttled us to/from the cruise ship.

You also might want to check weekly rates. A couple of years ago it was less expensive for us to pay a weekly rate and leave the car parked at the Radisson for free than it was going to be for two one way rentals.

If you take me serious, it's your problem
well ... carnival offers shuttle service from MCO(orlando intl.) to the port. The fee is $70.00 per person. that equates to 350.00 round trip for your group. So i would suggest renting a full size car or van from Avis or Hertz at the terminal for around 130.00 one way and take the shuttle back to the airport from the port at 35.00 pp, which equates to around 170.00 you would save ten bucks per person that way... or if there is a rental service at the port you could rent a car for a return trip and save about 35.00 per person... there are plenty of choices, you just have to decide which is right for you.
