Does anyone know if the unlimited soda cards include juices or virgin alcoholic drinks (pina coladas....etc)? I called Carnival and the gentleman said "he thinks so". Does anyone know for sure? Thanks!!

Sorry Deborah, I don't know for sure but I think it is only for soddas. Here's what Carnival's web site has to say.

What is the Fountain Fun Card?

We will offer to all guests the option to purchase a "Fountain Fun Card" which will allow them unlimited soft drinks for the duration of the cruise at a one time purchase price (including gratuities). The "Fountain Fun Card" can be purchased at the casino, lobby and pool bar onboard the ship. In all locations where beverage service is offered, guests may receive a glass of the soft drink of their choice - one glass will be served at a time and only to the guest whose name appears on the card. The card cannot be used through room service.

I guess it just depends on what the true definition of "soft drinks" actually is =huh

We bought a soda card when we went and it totally wasnt worth it.. unless you cant live without soda. Fruit juices are free they have a machine similar to an ice tea machine... and the water on the ship didnt taste crappy either.

Thank you so much!! The girls wanted to drink juices and water during the cruise. I assumed we'd have to purchase a couple of soda/juice cards. Your information has saved me a bit of money! Do you happen to remember what kinds of juices they had? I assume apple and orange.=docdance

i did a little searching and found this forum: http://www.carnivalconnections.com/cruisetalk/forums/p/42617/132880.aspx

it says they "usually have coffee, hot tea, unsweetened iced tea and fruit juices. "

about the juices:
"The fruit punch is just, well, fruit punch (like Hawaiian Punch - remember "punchy"?). They also have lemonade - the best lemonade I've ever had and I drink it almost exclusively! In the mornings, the lemonade and fruit punch are converted over to orange juice, apple juice and paso-guava (mix of passion fruit and guava). I HIGHLY recommend the paso-gauva - it's AWESOME!! It's the one thing I miss each time I go to breakfast here on land - Carnival is the only place I've found it!!"

hope that helped!!;)

Ashxoxo89....you have helped me. Thank you so much for the info. My daughters favorite is lemonade, however, once she trys the paso-guava it may become her favorite. Regardless, we will have a toast to you!

Pack a couple of 12 packs of their favorite cola before boarding, and at each port, you can purchase more and bring aboard for the kids..... As soon as you get to your cabin, have the steward empty the refrigerator of their overpriced cokes & water, and put your cokes in~~!!~~
Another trick is to buy a collapsible cooler at WalleyWorld to keep your beer & cokes cold... The room steward will keep it full of ice if you ask nicely
