First time cruiser on Carnival next month. On the drink coupons, are they a good buy? Four drink credits for $19.50. Does that include any drinks, beer, taxes, and gratuity?Do they actually save you money on the drinks ? Any comments, apprecuated!:AL:USA

I don't know that you actually save money but it is SO nice to me to have this prepaid and not to have this on our "Sane And Sign card"(you better be sane when you sign this card).LOL!

I used them on the Pride last September, and intend on using them again on the Paradise this September.

You can use them on drinks that cost $4.95 and under. Anything above that amount, you have to apply the difference to your S & S card.

I figured it out, if you purchase four drinks on your S & S card, that's $19.80 (not including gratuity).... So you do save a little $$$.

Happy sailing!

I used them in May on Pride. I got 2 coupon books and in January I intend to buy at least 4 or 5 of them. They are very convenient and your sign and sail card doesn't takea hit.

Please explain this to me. Is this for all types of drinks or just soda and I thought you could buy a soda card for about $34.00 and use it for unlimited soda for your entire cruise. Just a little confused.:)

I do believe that the drink coupons and the soda cards are two separate things. The drink coupons would be for your alcoholic drinks that us adults like to use, and the soda cards are just that, for soda.

I am going in July on the sensation. I called Carnival to add something to my booking and asked about alcoholic drink coupons. The agent said there is no such thing????

I ordered them in advance once, and they were delivered at dinner the first night. They were not worth the small savings for a couple of reasons. One, you had to remember to take them with you--the S&S is easy to remember anytime you leave the cabin as it's also your door key. Two, depending on who the server was is whether I actually got the drink I wanted without a big fuss as to the price. I'm a wine drinker so technically the coupon doesn't cover my drink as a glass of wine is typically $5.50+.

I came home with some of them, and eventually gave them to a friend who was cruising with Carnival. And, I haven't purchased them since my first Carnival cruise.

Enjoy your next cruise!

You just get one of those "water wallets" and you put everything including your drink coupons in them."We never went anywhere without our "water wallets". Sane and Sign" card is NOT always your door key at least not on the "Holiday" it isn't?I had NO problem getting any drink on their menu with my coupons and I will NEVER cruise without them.Anyone have some leftover ones they want to get rid of(they never seem to expire)?

Shangrilq--I stand corrected--on some of the older ships there is a door card in addition to the S&S.

Regardless, the coupons don't hold any true value for me, and I would not purchase them again.

Enjoy the day!
