We were on the Elation in 2003 when it was doing the Mexican Riviera run. It's not the largest or newest ship but it's not the smallest either. It's in the Fantasy class...there are several just like her. She's easy to get around in and we really enjoyed our time on her. If you've been on the newer mega ships then you may be disappointed by the Elation...then again you might not be. One other thing...check out the ceiling and the floor of each themed room...they will somehow fit in or match with everything else. I did like the decor of the Elation....Carnival has a way with detail.
