The Elation is a Fantasy class ship built in 1998. All the inside, ocean view and balcony cabins on Carnival are fairly standard (185 sq. ft. each). The Elation does not have any balcony cabins. It has some suites with balconies, but no standard balcony cabins. Sometime in the next year or two the Elation is going to get a major upgrade (though I do not know exactly when). All the Fantasy class ships are getting one. The upgrading began in 2008 and will continue through 2010 for all eight ships.
