We're booked! :clap: Deets in the subj line...Feb 28-Mar (3?)...now I have to figure out the rest:
-Car: The 'boys' want to rent a car and drive. I'm ok with driving, but not sure WHY we'd need to rent a car if we have a comfortable sedan and plan on using one of the parking services online (ie: Embassy Suites, which I saw mentioned here). If anyone has any recommendations on a good company that does one-way rentals, that would be great.
-Shuttle service to the ship: I can't seem to find the info on the AirportParkingReservations.com website on transportation to the ship. I'm probably blind; can someone help me out?
-Upgrades: Because we're traveling with another couple, upgrading the room won't (probably) be an option unless we could be guaranteed two rooms together or at least on the same deck again (only one room was available on the Empress deck online, so we ended up calling and cancelling THAT booking and moving to M deck
so both rooms would be together.)
I wonder what the chances are that people will panic and cancel anytime soon because of recent events? I have to go look at that thread again that I recently posted about upgrades to see the 'how to' of it all.
The boys were really wanting to go on Carnival, and in March, but I checked the Spring Break schedule, and the entire universe is going on Spring Break starting the week after (w/e Feb 28 had only 150k students out vs. the 1.7M + in the weeks following). I'm over 40 and have had an 'over 50' mentality since I was about 30, so wasn't entirely thrilled about sharing my vaca with an entire ship of this particular demograph. I'll take my chances that not ALL of the 150k students that are scheduled will be on my ship
I also told the DH that I really am not into the 'bar-hopping' scene, and hoped we'd be able to do other things like catch shows, and do other things on shore besides drinking (the other couple is not married, but are our age...but they like the singles-scene). I was thrilled when he said "don't they have those guys? (Gentlemen Hosts) You can go find yourself one of them." :doubleup: Well ok then!
