Carnival Imagination??

Newbie here...Planning our honeymoon which is our first cruise. Our travel agent recommended a 5-day western caribbean on the Imagination. Has anyone been on this ship as of late? If folks could give pluses and minuses of their experience would be appreciated.

We were on the Imagination 09/04 for our 25th anniversary and had a great time. This was our 1st cruise so we did not have any other ship to compare to.
The cabin steward was excellant. The room was always clean and there was a different towel animal waiting for us every evening when we came back from dinner.
The food at the buffet was average but always fresh. The meals in the dining room were good but the service was great!
The drinks were expensive but strong.
The shows and comics were good, but the dance club was loud and very crowded.
The only regret was that due to hurricane damage we did not go to the Cayman Islands, the ship went to Nassau instead.
Quick and easy ride to the pier from Miami International. The cab was $21 plus tip.
Over all, our 5 day cruise was a good value and we had an awesome experience.
After this cruise we caught the fever and have become addicts.
Next cruise is this October, on the Conquest.

We had a suite on the port side and beautiful weather with the exception of 1 stormy night.

Would you say the cruise had an equal amount of 20-50 somethings or was it mainly young families or elderly folks?

Very few kids or elderly

I have not been on Imagination but have been on 4 of her sisters. The fantasy class ships are nice and nascarfansb gave a good mini-review. The main thing is that it's your first cruise so you won't be disappointed.

We sailed on the Imagination back in July 06 for 5 nights. The staterooms were bigger than the other cruiselines that we have sailed with. Though the ship is small, there are many things to do onboard. If nothing else, there is always the casino. I recommend the "Imagination 21". I won over $300 playing that. The ship is also well maintained and beautiful from the inside.

My husband and I sailed Imagination 3 years back with a group of friends for my 30th. It was a blast! I have been on Norweigan, Princess, and Carnival. I am leaving for my second Carnival cruise next week. It is by far the best line I have been on. The staff was awesome. Waiters and waitresses were friendly and the dinner crew were alot of fun. Carnival has a younger crowd and earned the name funship. Enjoy your honeymoon!
