HI!! My husband, my 5 year old daughter and I will take our very FIRST cruise March 6th. It will be a 4 night out of Tampa on Carnival Inspiration.

I am VERY excited but very nervous! I am worried about getting sea sick...anyone have trouble with that? We have an Ocean View Guarantee and per the Carnival website we have been assigned room M222 right now but I was told that could change (is this true??)

What did everyone think of the ship??
Anyone have any pics to share?
Any tips on what we MUST see and what we can miss?

Any suggestions on what to do in Cozumel? We will have out 5 year old in tow so it cant be anything like scuba diving. We dont really want to get off the island since we will only be there for 10 hours or so. I was thinking of the park there and the ruins near the light house. Has anyone done those? How would I get to them..by taxi? I have trouble spending $75 per person if it can be done cheaper :p

Thanks for any help. Have a great day!

Ahoy there matey =sailor

I hear the Inspiration has already had it's new makeover and if that's the case she'll be in fine shape. I have never sailed on Inspiration but have sailed on four Fantasy Class ships and had a great time on each one. Tampa is my favorite port to sail from. Stay out on deck for about an hour after the ship leaves because it is fun to be outside as the ship sails under the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.

I wouldn't be to worried about getting seasick. Make sure you bring some ginger tablets along as they are a good natural remedy. You can usually find them in health food stores.

One thing not to miss are the grilled ruben sandwiches from the deli, a great afternoon snack. The chilled fruit soups are awesome too so don't be afraid to try them.

We usually go snorkeling in Cozumel but if that's not your thing, the Cozumel Insider website is a good resourse for information. Here's a link..

Taxis in Cozumel are cheap and a great way to get around.

Not sure about the room changing. Typically once they assign your room, that's where you'll be.

I know you'll =funsign on your first cruise. Enjoy :thumb

Here is a video looking at the new enhancements made on the Imagination. This is a sister ship of the Inspiration.

My husband and I will also be sailing March 6th on the Inspiration also! Can't wait. I've never had any problems in the past with seasickness (been on 4 other Carnival cruises). I've heard that "sea bands" work great if you don't want the side effects of meds. I took them on our first cruise but didn't need them. They are available at drug stores. Friends of ours took Bonine and it worked great. Happy cruising and hope the weather is great! Can't wait to see the renovations. We went on the Fascination last year and it was great-- same class without the new upgrades.
