Relatively speaking, the decor on the Liberty is pretty toned down.  The stereotype relating to Carnival being "party ships" dates back to the 80's when Carnival sailed almost exclusively on short Caribbean/Bahamian cruises that attracted a lot of young families and singles.  Even today, you will find this kind of demographic on just about any cruise line sailing these short itineraries.  On the longer itineraries, I have found the passenger demographic to be very similar to all other cruise lines on which I have sailed.  Oh yes, let's address those balconies.  If you can, book one of the aft corner wraps; you will love it.
