Carnival Miracle questions

Hi,

Going to the Carribean in August on the Miracle and have a couple questions.
1) My friends and I are getting a 3 person room, is the 3rd bed a roll away cot? or a bed from the wall on the boat?

2) Right now we are on the riveira deck with like some carnival change to upgrade guarantee... I am trying to figure out if it is worth spending the extra $100-$120 to move up to like the 6-7th floor?

Thanks for your opinions.

1) It could be convertable sofa or a bed that comes down from the ceiling. It is my understanding that on the newer ships they do not have roll-a-way beds.

2) If I recall correctly, the Riveria deck has oceanview rooms. Decks six and seven have balconies. Not sure if there are any oceanview cabins on the upper decks, though there might be.

Would I spend the money to move up higher in the ship? No. Why? Because you get the same room on a higher deck. I see no advantage to that. Now if you are looking to move to a balcony, then yes, the extra cost is worth it, in my opinion.

I think three out of the five of us are going, are first time cruisers. Would being on the bottom cause more motion sickness or anything?

Thanks for your opinion.

just the oppisite. the motion sickness will be less the lower you go.Unless you want a balcony try the main deck,if you get the right cabin the obstructed view french door cabins are nice.viet

I LOVE Riviera deck (or the lower deck and forward of any ship). About 40 feet above the water and up toward the front where the bow of the ship is creating its own waves and the sea is moving by just below. If I'm paying for an ocean view...put me down by the ocean as close as I can get. Never understood why people would pay more for higher decks. $50 to be two decks higher? Gee I could go on a snorkel trip for that much.

the higher you go on a ship the more motion you will feel. Same with front or back.
staying low and midship is better.

Some oceanview cabins have an upper bed--some have a convertible sofa.
The back comes off and its made to a bed. (check under the sofa for 2 huge drawers for storage space)
on the deck plans if you look inside eachcabin there is a symbol- a little round dot means it has an upper bed. a star is for a convertible sofa.

Inside cabins do not have sofas.

Carnival had a sale this past week to upgrade to the highest level in the category you booked for all past quest. two of the past guest could have grabed into that sale. Call your agent first thing Monday and inquire about it
