The ship is beautiful you will really enjoy it. Carnival's Spirit class ships are so much nicer than any of their other ships. As far as weather goes, the Caribbean will be nice and warm, but the ocean might be a little rocky. You will be traveling towards the end of hurricane season so you never know when one last storm might strike up. The Miracle actually has two homeports, New York City and Fort Lauderdale. If your cruise leaves out of NYC which I assume it does you can expect weather in the 50's the first couple of days before you reach warmer weather down south.
