The Miracle is quite a beautiful ship, you can't go wrong with a Spirit Class ship. As far as decorations go... what do you expect, it's Carnival! The only major complaint I had were the ugly purple balls of light that represented grapes in the dining room, but I read somewhere they recently subdued them a bit since the Miracle's last dry dock. Also I highly recommend spending a lot of time at the aft adult's only pool. It is by far the most peaceful with the best view, after all it is all the way aft on the ship. It is also within easy access of the twister water slide! ;)

I sailed on Miracle in early 2004. She is a beautiful ship even in the dining room. Yes it was a little over the top but that is Carnival. The wait staff were so attentive and we had a table by the window so I really didn't notice the grapes very much. We had a Category 11 on Empress deck in the rear of the ship. The ship had a lot more motion than I expected. When I was packing I nearly fell over the suitcase because of the ship rolling back and forth. Even still I never had any motion sickness and I am very sensitive to that. I would definitely sail on the Miracle again but I think I would choose a cabin more in the middle of the ship. You will have a great time. Email me if you have any specific questions.

I loved the Miracle and enjoyed the wild decor. Make sure you check out all the lounges. The service was great and the food in the dining room and the lido was very good. Don't miss the reuben sandwiches in the deli part of the lido!

I agree about the "grapes" in the dining room. A bit much. And yes, the ruben sandwiches in the deli were a great late afternoon snack. We were on Carnival Miracle a little over a year ago. One of the best cruise directors we've had but can't remember his name.

Wow those Spirit class ships are just so beautiful... except there's usually a lot of people on deck too, I've never seen it deserted!

Probably because the photo I posted was taken before any paying passengers ever got on the ship. In fact, I doubt that the captain at the time this photo was taken was an employee of Carnival.
