I just booked a cruise with Carnival for the Carnival Valor in April 2011.  I was told that if I find a price lower than what I paid up to 2 days before sailing they will credit me the difference.  I don't believe you will have a problem getting a refund for the difference.  Good luck and I hope you don't have any problems...
