We did book through Carnival at the early saver rate.  Talked to my Carnival cruise planner , Jeffrey Sutko; and he gave us the line to fill out a form and submit to Carnival.  He said the cruise planners do not handle those situations.  We filled out the form online and submitted it.  We received an email back saying a decision would be made in 3 days or less.  I told them in the comment section of the form that I had printed the booking information for the category 8p room which showed the current price and I would be glad to fax it to them if necessary to prove my point.  After reading the rules, unless I am wrong, the price difference will be given as an onboard credit.  If that happens we are talking about $1080.00, because the fare went down $270 per person and we have booked and paid for two rooms (4  people).  That is a lot of onboard credit.  I was hoping they would just credit my credit card.
