The policy for the early saver price protection is that you go to the Carnival web site and fill out an on line form showing the lower fare. Carnival will e-mail you a confirmation that they recognize the lower fare and will issue an on board credit for the difference. (1st and 2nd passenger in the cabin only)

 

I have done the process for clients a few times and it takes about three business days to receive a response from Carnival.
