I am wondering if anyone has had any experience on the PRIDE'S category 8a cabins. They are balcony cabins...ours is on the port side in the rear of the ship on the Main deck. Cabin #4218....are these cabins noisy, or are they not private or anything else we should know before booking? Any hints or tips will be appreciated, I've never cruise Carnival before.

Thanks,
Judy

Judy, We are sailing on the Pride April 12. You won't have any noise coming from above you. I doubt there will be noise coming from the dining room below you. I don't know about engine noise although I have been on the lowest deck on 2 Carnival ships and never had a problem. Maybe someone with more experience will post. If not I think you have a good cabin. Darlene

I was in a balcony cabin on the Pride last March, and it was fabulous. We were on Deck 7 midship/aft, and had no problems w/ noise or anything of the sort. It was wonderful!

There should not be any particular noise in this cabin. However, the propulsion system did cause some vibration in this area when we sailed the Pride which we felt in the dining room near this area (one year ago). This was only when the ship was traveling at 22 knots or more as well.
