Go for it!! We have sailed Carnival 4 times and Celebrity twice. I would not hesitate to book Carnival, in fact have one scheduled for Nov. I have never encountered drunks in the hot tubs, but there are idiots everywhere, so anything is possible. We have always found the food and service to be very good, never had a complaint about either. Sorry, don't know about the other port, but Bermuda is compact and has a good bus system. I think you will have a great time; let us know!
