We sailed on the Pride in January, on her inaugural sailing to the Eastern Caribbean. The ship was beautiful!!! The cabin was the nicest cabin we've ever had, with lots of space to move about, a nice size bathroom, and lots of closet and storage space. The cabin was a category 8D cabin. The food was wonderful! There is nothing bad I can say. We had a fantastic time sailing on the Carnival Pride!!!!!!!!!

If you like a very relaxing cruise with great food and service you will love the legend. Lots of nightlife/entertainment options and a fantastic spa!!! I have a full review in the reviews section of this website. Enjoy!

I have sailed on the Pride this past October. This ship is beauty. The crew and food were great. I would sail on the Pride again. Sept. 2003 I'll be sailing on the Legend. Sister ship to the Pride.

I sailed on the Pride in Jan. of this year and cannot say enough wonderful things about this ship. She is beautiful and the staff is wonderful, at least in our experience. We are sailing on her sister ship the Legend in April.

You will not be disappointed.

Re: Weather in January

Hi! We're sailing the PRIDE January 2003. What was the weather like in Florida (Port Canaveral) and in the Eastern Caribbean during that month? We've never been south in January. Thanks!

Re: Weather in January

We sailed on the Pride on January 12, 2002. The weather was gorgeous!! We live about 75 minutes from Port Canaveral. The weather at the port was right around 72 and sunny. When we were at Nassau, it was 82 and sunny, but I heard that the water was cold from the people who went swimming at Salt Cay Island. At St. Thomas and St. Maarten, it was 85 and sunny. We had absolutely beautiful weather the entire time!! Enjoy!!

PRIDE sail & sign cards

One more question: do each of us have to get a S & S card? We're always together. OR, do they prefer that each person get their own.

Re: PRIDE sail & sign cards

Hi folks, We just returned from the sailing on the Pride on Dec 7, 2002. It was fantastic. We enjoyed everything, especially the balcony-8F on the Veranda Deck. Each person has their own S & S card. Be sure to take a shower in the gym/spa locker room. It has 5 shower heads that soothe your entire body. One shower head is just for your hair and does a great job. Have fun. I would definately do the Pride again.

Each person must have their own s&s card. It serves as your identification when leaving and entering the ship in ports.

HI... You are going to love the ship. We were on her last Feb and are going again this
Feb 1st. We always cruise with another couple and share the cost of a Cat 11. The
food, service, cabin, entertainment are all excellent! This time we are doing the
western intinery and last time we did the eastern. We always fly down a day or two
early and stay at a Embasy Suites. If you have any questions here is my email:

My husband, a friend and I sailed on the Pride Sept. 28, 02. I LOVED IT! A beautiful ship, but if you get offended easily (nude art) it might not be for you. My husband didn't care for the decor at all. Everything was wonderful except for our stateroom service. I think perhaps our room steward was a new employee. She just didn't get the routine of cleaning our room while we were in dinner, etc. The water slide is the best design I have ever seen. We booked an ocean view room, lots of storage space. As for the weather in Port Canaveral, we just sailed on RCCL SOS Jan 5. It was definitely cooler in Fl than I imagined. One or 2 nights we were there, it was in hte 30's, with daytime temps in the 50's, so take a jacket just in case. If you need to stay over a night in FL, I would recommend Radisson Resort at the Port in Port Canaveral. You can leave your car parked there and a shuttle runs to and from the ships.

What did you think of the category 11...Is it big enough for a family of 4 with a little extra room?
