Well, I would not have put up with such nonsense and the person on the other end of the phone would have received an ear full. That said, there is a reason I don't deal directly with the cruise lines, and this is just one example. I have a travel agent I am happy with. My travel agent gets a commission, I don't have to pay any extra, and my travel agent takes care of dealing with the cruise lines. Life is good.
