We have cruised on 5 different cruise lines and Carnival has been one of them and will be again the end of August. Carnival did something yesterday that I found interesting and that I thought was very good service, especially seeing our cruise is a month away.
My wife and I are diabetic and every line, including on Carnival, the cruise lines were made aware of this in advance of cruising. All lines made sure there was memo's in our room making sure they knew of our diabetes and letting us know what to do for added assistance. All lines had someone contact us in the dining room on our first night to make sure they knew how to properly handle meals for us to meet any special needs.
This time Carnival has gone a step further and called us a month in advance to make sure that everything is taken care of and in place before we cruise. They have already made sure of any dietary needs we may have and any needs related to seeing if any special containers for needles and such are needed. They also provided us with contact people in case something is not handled properly.
To me this shows me that Carnival deffinately wants to see that everything is set up correctly for an enjoyable cruise for us. This did not happen before our last cruise with Carnival so I am assuming it must be a new policy to check on these needs in advance.
I was impressed with Carnival on our first time sailing with them, I am even more impressed now. Well done Carnival.
