Carnival spending $300 million in fixing ships fleet wide

at shipcruise they call it "Carnival refurbishment program updates 2013" (here) - Carnival cruise lines are expanding their ship renovations program by additional $300 mill for updating all 24 ships in the fleet. Carnival Corp to add more for all 10 brands.

I'm thinking that Carnival might have been better of if they had started this program in 2012.
