Hello everyone,
Havent been on here for awhile...i live in San Diego and love to cruise.Just finished our 9th cruise.Have done 5 on Royal caribean/4 on Carnival.I'll be writting the review asap.Very impressed with Carnival Spirit.Manzanillo: a must see>Bahia di Santiago is the area to go in port.I even told the purser that they need to have info on the area where lovely beaches, shops, and magnificant resorts.I hired a driver, only $30 for the day! My hubby and son stayed on board w/colds & had to watch Charger game.(i got back in time for that too!)
Anyways, just wanted to share my thoughts and say hello again to all my fellow cruise @ddicts!
Ciao!

Brian...have a super cruise.I honestly felt that Carnival did a good job.As i said, give Bahia de Santiago in Manzanillo a try...they do have the Las Hadas excusion, which is where "10" was filmed. It's pricey but may be worth it or go on your own and pay for entrance fee of $50-80 at most of these beautiful resorts. If you read my review, give lots of info.Take care!

We are going on this cruise on 2/2. We live in NJ and went on this last year and the lst thing that happened was that I absolutely FELL IN LOVE with San Diego!! It was our 3rd time on the Spirit and we love the ship, our lst time to MR and tho I don't think it's "as great" as the Caribbean, it was a nice cruise. We flew home Super Bowl Sunday, 2007 and the minute I walked in the door I told DH to book the same cruise for Super Bowl 2008 which he did....and we are almost there! It's been a long wait :lol We even got the same cabin. Aft wraparound balcony =clap :thumb We did the ship's excursion resort/beach break in Manzanillo and tho it was a wonderful day, it was a bit pricey and I thought we'd try to do something "on our own" this time. Acapulco I am still =shrug about. We did the tour in a private taxi and saw the cliff divers. Been there, done that. This might end up being a quiet day on the ship for us. Ixtapa I think we will try Las Hadas Beach.
=welcome =homesign Glad you had a good cruise! Can't WAIT to go out to San Diego again! :jump

Hello! I'm Bonnie from Prescott AZ. I am going on the Spirit on 2/2/08 w/ my neighbor and her 91 year old (like 70!) Mom. We can't wait! My 6th cruise, and my neighbor Sandy's first! We have a suite on starboard side right next to one of those wraparound cabins. Our room number is 6327. Empress Deck. I told the girls that we would make friends with our "neighbors" and hopefully get a peak at their wonderful space. Perhaps you could show us around? We are ccounting the days until paradise! Take care...and see you soon!

I'm Dan from San Diego, and my wife, 5 yo daughter and I will be hitting the Mexican Riviera on Spirit departing 2/18. This is our first cruise, so I'm really enjoying reading all of the tips. Anyone else coming with us?

The Spirit is a good ship - I've also cruised her THREE times (we live in San Diego, so it's never hard to get on her - and with the military discount Carnival offers, it's CHEAP!). For those of you that have never considered cruising the same ship multiple times, I wrote an article here.

For those of you coming to San Diego for the Spirit cruise within the next couple of weeks - it's been a tad overcast (we've actually had a lot of rain - what is this world coming to?!) and windy, so it can be a bit chilly. Chilly to us San Diegans is anything in the 60's and below. =huh

I believe a couple of you are leaving on the Spirit this week. The office I work in has a clear view of the harbor - so I'll be sure to stand up and WAVE! Bon Voyage!
