You will see both. Unfortunately there will likely be some that will completely ignore the dress code on formal night. As for me, I always wear my tux because I think formal night shuld be just that, formal.
The Mexican Riveria will determine the dress more than the ship. We just got off the Pride and there were more bluejeans (even on formal nights) than I have ever seen on a Carnival ship. Now while that doesn't bother me (just noticed it because of all the recent discussions on various boards) the guys with the guts, that stopped those inadequate pull over tshirts from covering all the way to the front of their jeans, were disgusting!!!!! I do not want to see hairy bare beer bellys at formal dinner. sorry
regardless of what ship we go on, it's a tux for me......i was wearing a suit at one time, but i like the look of a Tux.......formal is formal....old school i guess...i don't wear it alot, so it's nice to look and feel good, yes?
