Hi. Just got out revised bill in the mail. Actually its $5.00 a day per person and we are doing an eight day cruise. What choice do we have.

Unfortunately, no choice. 
I wish they would have made the surcharge for new bookings only. As a T/A it is really sad to have to tell people the price of their cruise has gone up so please folks, don't shoot the messanger :sniper

I just noticed it was added to our bill as well. I too wish they would add the surcharge to new bookings. We booked last March and our final payment is due in a few weeks. If only we had paid it off a few weeks earlier.

I think if they would have added $35.00 to each new 7 day cruise booked and not mentioned it being a fuel charge it wouldn't have even been noticed. Imagine they are getting $70,000.00 for 2000 cruisers for a 7 day cruise. Lets see, thats 52 weeks X $70,000.00 X how many ships. $35.00 per person don't sound like to much, but it adds up quick for company profits.

I just got an e-mail from Vacations to go saying that the fuel charge will be added, and gave a list of increases for different cruise lines. Carnival is $5.00 per person per day. Other cruise lines go from $7.00 to $12.00 per day. For 2 people that could be an increase of $168.00 more for a 7 day cruise.
