Carnival Tour Prices

As all Carnival cruisers know, tour prices are not available via the web-site. I simply sent an e-mail to guestinfo@carnival.com requesting tour descriptions/prices. After about a week, I received an email listing all information (including prices). Now I know that I don't have to pre-book the White Pass Railroad in Skagway because it's virtually the same as booking direct! I've already booked whale watching and a floatplane trip direct and feel comfortable that I can just "go with the flow" in Ketchikan and Skagway.

Still have 76 days to wait and I'm already starting to get antsy! We're first-time cruisers, so if anyone has sailed recently on Carnival Spirit post a note on how it was.

thanks for letting us know. i went to the glacier bay last sept and had a wonderfultime. you will love the spirit. it is a great ship and the service and crew are wonderful. i did all my own tours last year ( capt larry, island wings floatplane and a white pass summit tour ). they were fantastic. i am going to be doing my own tours again when i go back next may. just remember when you are in port you can come and go to the ship as much as you like, but you MUST be back on the ship 1/2 hour before she sails. they do leave passengers that are not on the ship. these tour groups realy give great tours and they make sure you are back in time. this is their bread and butter and they want to keep a good reputation. have a great time and the days will go by you know it.

thanks so much for all the great post on the tours and prices. i called carnival tour and the girl said yes ( twice ) that the prices would be included with the email to me about the tours. well, i got a 30 page email with all the tours and no prices listed. now i have a guide line for cruise or independent tours and prices. thanks so much.

Hmmm - in my opinion, Carnival missed out on offering one of the best horseback riding excursions - Yukon Horseback Adventures with Southeast Tours. The view of Emerald Lake from the hilltops is well worth the monies spent. Its the best photo opportunity of Emerald lake with the snow capped mountains in the background contrasting with the blue green jewel like colors of the lake. The journey into the Yukon is certainly worthwhile. Just my opinion - I love horses and these people offer a great service. Friendly, informative and lots of fun. You can check it out for yourselves at www.yukonhorses.com - its just a new website with lots of pictures of the tour and information. Hope that helps someone!
