We are going on Carnival Triumph Oct 16, 2010, ports, Nassau & Freeport Bahamas, and Key West, Florida. Any info/advice on excursions, the ship, ports, motel to saty at before cruise in New Orleans would be appreciated, thanks!!!!

In Freeport we went to the beach at Lucaya. It is a cheap taxi ride there. Across the street from the beach they had a cool marketplace and the Count Bassie Pavilion which is just outside of a bar that made some great rum punch. :beach: The pavillion had a musician playing Caribbean music. No charge to hang out in the pavillion. We enjoyed it a lot.

In Nassau we have done the day trip to Breezes on Cable Beach several times or just gone snorkeling.

We are booked for 10/16/2010 out of NOLA also. Can't wait. We are going to Atlantis in Nassau, swim with the dolphins in Freeport and parasail in Key West.

If you are going to Nassau - do NOT go to Pearl Island.

My suggestion for a hotel in NOLA is to check out hotwire. Look for hotels in the French Quarter. We got a GREAT deal for a trip a few years ago.
