Carnival Victory left San Juan early due to deteriorating weather conditions as Irene approcahes. I got a call from one of our clients from San Juan airport who had missed the ship.
I checked with Carnival and was advised to let her know to find a Carnival representitive in baggage claim. Carnival will provide hotel accommodations in San Juan and will fly all affected passengers to Barbados to join the ship on Wednesday. To be honest, I was surprised to hear that Carnival had gone to those great lengths to accommodate their guests because of a weather related issue. Kudos to Carnival for stepping up to the plate on this one. :doubleup:
My only concern is what about the guests traveling with birth certificates flying to Barbados? Carnival is also offering a full refund for the cruise and that might be the only option for those folks.
