Our next cruise is on the Victory March 19th. Can anyone tell us about this ship? We are on the Panorama deck. We are driving in and staying the 18th at The Crown Plaza on Lejune road. I intend taking a cab to the port. Does anyone have an idea how much the cab fare will be. Also, I know the Cruise line posts 1:30 as the time for boarding. However, if my memory serves me correctly we have boarded sooner on previous cruises. Have things changed recently? Does anyone have any suggestions for what time to arrive at the port?

We stayed in cabin 1060 Panorama and this was a great location. The cabin was not far from the pool and buffet.
The cab ride will be around $25 and try to get there before 11am and you should be on the ship before 12:30.

Yes usually you can start boarding way before the schedule time.... I do not think I have ever boarded ship any later than noon.... and that was with standing in line with people already boarding!!

Hey I just sailed the Victory in October! Beautiful ship!! BIG! We got on about 1:30 , there were people already swimming and eating and of course drunk when we got there!!! They have been there for a while. The earlier the better!! We were on the main deck, balcony. Balcony's are the the way to go!!!

We just sailed on the Victory in January. It was our first cruise and we had a fantastic time. We were on the Lido deck in 9288 and it was a great balcony cabin with a fantastic steward.

I think we boarded around 12:00 and it took about a 1/2 hour total time.

Thanks everyone. :waveThe 19th is just around the corner. I think, just to get things started, I will go visit my Brother on the coast in NC on the 10th and maybe spend some time with my sister in Charlotte for a couple of days and then just head on down to Florida. We can't wait to get on the ship, it's such a great feeling to be on board!!!:)D
