Cruised on her twice this year and loved her! DO go to the dining room when you get on and check out your table. We didn't do this the lst time and we were seated in a booth on the 2nd level all the way back in a little corner. Noone even knew we were there! 2nd time we were on the lst level right in the middle of the room (at the foot of the stairs) and it made A TON OF DIFFERENCE. If you need any specific information, let me know. Have a great cruise!

=docdanceWe just got off the Victory Sunday. We LOVED the Victory. It is a beautiful ship, and the crew was extremely friendly. All of the crew said hello when they passed you anywhere on the ship. The food was great, and the entertainment was wonderful. The cruise director was Malcolm in the Middle and he was hilarious. Getting to the Pacific Dining Room is a trick. If you get this dining room, go clear to the back of the 5th deck (past the casino), then walk downstairs to the 3rd deck. We were assigned this dining room, but it was so far from our cabin, that we changed to the Atlantic Dining Room. There was no problem changing the dining room, and we ended up with a slightly later time-6:15, which worked out perfectly for us. Our room steward and dining room waiters were wonderful, and very friendly also. The chocolate melting cake was the best dessert (it is offered late in the week). It is absolutely wonderful. Have a great cruise-you will LOVE the Victory also!!

Their mashed potatos are out of this world. They have them at the buffet at lunch. One day they had mashed potatos with brie...I thought I died and went to heaven. I am still tasting them in my dreams :lol Deli sandwiches are excellent also. I am not a fan of Chinese food, but one day they had fried wantons...I had one and went back with a plate and said "fill 'er up!" Have a great cruise! (I am getting hungry now :grin)

I just got off sunday too.
Been on twice. Lido deck aft don`t forget the Missippi BBQ . It takes folks a day or so to figure out
so, it`s not crowded the first day. The pizza bar is there too. They have great Calzones. Pacific dinning room is a bit harder to find. It is aft decks 3&4 I take promade deck 5 to back and take the stairs down.

Oh, they didn't have Calzones when we were on. :( I liked the pizza, tho. Didn't have a hamburger. First time, but they looked a little iffy. French fries were good tho! Ah, french fries, pizza and mashed potatos. :thumb

Make sure Carnival knows you are all together. The largest table - if I remember correctly is for 8...so they will probably put you at two tables close together...maybe add an extra chair. Make sure whoever you booked through knows...and then check it out when you get there to make sure they did as much as they could for your group.

The Victory has been one of my favorites ... out of the 11 Carnival ships we've been on. It's a good size and I liked more of the decor on this ship than on some of the others. Make sure you make it to all the nooks and crannys...some of the rooms are tucked away.

We sailed her when she first came out on a special 2 day to nowhere when she was delivered early. We are looking forward to seeing her again soon when we do her 7 day Western Caribbean intinerary.
