Carnival Victory

Hi,
I am interested in booking with Carnival Victory.. they are offering a great deal in the oceanview stateroom #1001 (panorama deck 10). However, it appears this room has an obstructed view. I called Carnival and they say I will see the crew walking around, but that it has reflective glass, so I can see out but they can't see in.

Has anyone stayed in one of these "obstruced view" rooms, and if so what excatly is the view? Will I be able to see the ocean/destination?

thank you, savanah

Re: Carnival Victory - any stories on this cruise

Has anyone been on this cruise? If so, is there anything I should know. This is my first cruise.

Hi Savanah, I have been waiting for someone to reply to you. Feel bad you are being "ignored!" :( I have no advice about that cabin. I have been on the Victory twice and really can't figure out what they are talking about (crew members) It would APPEAR that the obstruction is due to the cabins "jutting out" at the front of the ship. YOu won't be able to look out your window and see down into the ocean. I think there are areas on these decks that have some apparatus that maybe crew members have to work on. Lines and such, but don't quote me! This is why I didn't want to reply to you; I really have no idea. But I just wanted to tell you that Victory is a beautiful ship. We have sailed on her twice and are booked in July again! Good luck finding info. Maybe you should call Carnival again and ask them to detail this for you???

Also been on the Victory 2x and you picked a fun ship. I have stayed on deck 10, cabin 1060 which was a balcony. You have a ov right at the very front of the ship looking right out into the sea. There is walkway in front of your cabin window and The info is correct from Carnival. Your view will be fine, you just cannot look straight down to the seas.

Do check out the Piano Bar, the steam sauna with the ceiling to floor windows. The hottubs in the spa/gym area are never crowded. Have fun!!

Thank y'all for your responses...I actually decided to go with a room with an unobstructed view (just to be safe).
