Cat X guar on Celebrity Galaxy

I have booked X guarantee which is a room w/veranda, Cat 2. Has anyone booked this way? And, if so, how did you make out? The only (2) in this cat that don't look too good are 1240 & 1241, looks like the veranda is smaller. Does anyone know? Thanks for your help. This is my first time on Celebrity & first time w/veranda.

We did not sail on the Galaxy, but we did get a guar. on a Cat 2 on the Century and were upgraded to a Cat 1. Nice upgrade. But since the Galexy has alot of Cat 2 cabins and few Cat 1's you probably will get your Cat 2.

Can't help since I book insides and cruise more often, but that is the fun of a guarantee. You are trading the good price for the run of the ship for the category you book. No matter what, I'm sure you will have a great time.

We booked a cat X guarantee for a veranda cabin(cat 2) for the June 2003 Galaxy sailing..There are no bad verandas on the Galaxy. We were assigned portside cabin 9087(near the forward elevators) The room was great.. We found out online about 10 days before sailing, even before our travel agent knew..you should not have a problem..On this ship I would not book a guarantee if I were handicapped..I would pick a handicapped room. The step up into the bathroom is about 4". A person confined to a wheelchair could not handle this with out help .. Enjoy your cruise..
