Which is the best way to see St.Lucia? Are the seas rough or fairly smooth in February for a catamaran? All help would be appreciated.Linda

When we were in St Lucia, Celebrity offered a land/sea excursion which was fun and informative. No one warned me about the steep, winding roads, though, and I got car sick! The excursion included a visit to the volcano and also the rain forest. The return trip was by catamaran - we stayed close to the shore and it was smooth sailing in February. We also stopped to snorkel - lots of fun.

We have done it by Cat in that time of the year, and did not have any problems. But we are all at the whim of the weather.

I enjoyed the trip, BUT.. we anchored in the bay in sight of the Pitons. Too far to swim to the shore. We anchored out there and swam around and had a good time. Guys paddled out from the shore selling shells etc.
So if not getting to shore is a problem for you. Make sure you book one that does make land.

We have also rented a taxi and driven around the island and saw many beautiful sights.
This is a beautiful island.
