Just wondering about those mini-suites on the Vaeandah deck in the Fantasy class ships. Are they just Queen size beds with a convertable sofa? Are there any kings on that level? How about being on the Verandah deck, it's pretty high up there, but the cabins are fore. How is the ride?

We had a Cat 11 (V-11) on the Sensation some years back. Was a queen size bed, and I don't remember if the sofa converted since it was only the two of us. Didn't have any problems with the ride on our cruise, but then again the waters were pretty calm.

153 Days til the Sensation!!!

Be advised that many of these cabins have obstructed views (lifeboats) and the "balconies" are not private and are extremely tiny. If it were me, I'd spend the extra money for a cat. 12 which is double the size with a large private balcony.

Zina, cruzman is right about some of these mini-suites having obstructed views--the life boats are in front of those toward the back--also, the ones at the front have stairs right by them so people coming up and going down those are almost in your face. Get a Carnival brochure and look closely at it.
You may want to pay a little more and get a suite on empress deck. They have a fairly good sized balconey and are private.

Sorry--sorry--- sorry--- I meant to say the suites on upper deck, not empress deck.
