Has anyone been told that the category FV cabins are only for 5+ groups? We're interested, but Celebrity says no. What's your experience?

Just the opposite. Our Daughter & SIL have #7199 booked for 2/22 along with 2 of their 3 children (5). The oldest is 12 and they would not allow her to be booked into the same cabin as her family as she was considered an Adult! I'de like to see them grant her a cabin by herself. She will share a cabin with Nana & Grampy right next door. Our family just has 2 cabins booked and we are not cruising with a group.
Bon Voyage

i had read on another thread where Celebrity had bumped a couple out of the FV room for a family. I guess it depends on how the ship fills up. Especially around holidays, summer vacations and spring break.

Yes Fllady, I had heard that same scenario too. Well since they are special and priced accordingly, it is only right that a family has first choice.

I have to disagree. We booked an FV almost a year in advance for our cruise because we wanted the larger veranda. The cabin costs the same price regardless of who occupies it so Why should families jump the queue?? If we got bumped out after taking the trouble to book so far in advance, I'd have to hope the children got chicken pox!!

We have also booked an FV just for the two of us a year in advance
I questioned my TA and she said they just can't take it away
Celebrity would have to negotiate a better cabin to my liking
don't worry

The only cabins I am aware of that have priority are the disabled cabins. These are reserved for disabled persons up to some time then they will be filled by others. I stayed in one after 9/11 when someone cancelled.
FV cabin. If you have a cabin booked, I can see no reason why Celebrity would take you out of it unless you were upgraded and this should be only after you agree. The cruise line gets so much money for a cabin and that is what they look at. The bottom line.
