Cat's and the Christmas Tree

What is it with the Christmas tree that they just LOVE. I no sooner had it up and the skirt in place and Bella was parking herself right under it. Last year we were fortunate that she didn't try to climb it. But, with Georgie now in the picture, I can see him chasing her right up the tree. So, we used some heavy fishing like and anchored it to the window locks. Here are a few pictures of Bella

my new kitten Boots knocked my small tree off the hall table in a matter of minutes. No living room tree until she matures. The 9 foot tree in the sunroom will have to suffice this year - with the door closed so she can't destroy it. :)

Now Shadoe would lie under the tree like Bella and just look at it, until Boots would show up. I can see it now - cat fight, up the tree.

Happy decorating everyone!

Awwwwwww so cute! And a beautiful tree. Cats do love the tree and do take to protection under it just like in nature.

Each yr is different for us. Some yrs the cats simply play with the ornaments at the bottom of the tree but we've had a couple of yrs where they have climbed almost to the top of the tree to find a nice branch to perch themselves and watch everybody from high up.

What a cute cat...has some mischief in her eyes! We had a cat that loved to climb the inside branches of the tree and then proceed to knock off the Christmas balls hanging up near him!
