Celebrity drink cards

I called Celebrity today to find out about the drink cards. Celebrity told me they had 2 types of cards and you can get them for kids or adults at different prices. It turns out that the two packages and separate prices for adults and kids is for Royal Caribbean and not Celebrity.

There is a fountain soda package. This is for unlimited sodas for 10 nights for $45 ($4.5 per day) plus 15% for adults and kids. The other package which is for 12 drinks is for Royal Caribbean.

I am trying to figure out if we should get these.

Does anyone know what drinks are included in which restaurants and what drinks you pay for? One person in our party does not drink soda. She drinks juice and tea.

I called back and was told by Celebrity that juice was included like coffee, tea and milk. Does anyone know if this is accurate.

Royal Caribbean has a wine card for about $50. But they said Celebrity does not.

Thanks for the info.

Yes, coffee(execpt specialty), tea, milk, lemonade, juice is free. Soda/pop you have to pay for everyplace. I am not aware if Celebrity offers any sort of drink card.

Coffee/tea is available 24/7. Juices are usually available for free at meal time.

Celebrity has a drink card for soda for $4.50 per day for unlimited amounts. Coffee, tea, lemonade, iced tea and juice are available all the time. You can use your drink card in the dining room and cafe as well as at the different bars. My daughter and son-in-law had them (they are big soda drinkers) and they calculated that if they had three sodas a day the card paid for itself. Their only complaint was that it was hard to find a bar man in the resturants to get their soda so they would have to run out to the nearest bar to get their drink.

When we were on Millie end of March we bought a soda card for the 7 days. If a bar server isn't immediately available just ask ANYONE who has a Celebrity name tag and they will find a server for you. I was disappointed that there is no drink card for alcoholic beverages but they do have daily drink specials listed in the Daily.

You can get soda at the pool, the only place that you can't is the Room Service.

Also a tip, I have been using my soda card for 2 or 3 cruise now. Save the cards for other cruises. Just don't say anything to the bar people.

As to using the cards over again... it may be possible, but is it ethical?

Of course it's not ethical...and it's downright ridiculous...
You're paying thousands of dollars to cruise and you're looking to cheat the cruise line out of 30 or 40 bucks?
Some folks never cease to amaze me...

As to the "hard drink" cards, I wish Celebrity would follow Royal Caribbean on this one...
Back in July, we cruised on Royal Caribbean's Grandeur of the Seas...Bought a "alcoholic" drink card each for my wife and myself and a "non-alcoholic" bar drink card each for the kids...12 drinks each was just perfect for the 7-night cruise...The "per drink" cost was a little less than it would otherwise have been...but the good thing was the convenience, especially when ordering drinks in the showroom during shows (they merely took the card and returned it to you punched) and the added benefit of having a decent idea as to the fixed cost of our bar tab...That non-alcoholic card, BTW, was not a "Soda Card"...It was good for 12 "virgins"...my kids love getting virgin strawberry daquiris, virgin pina coladas, virgin Margaritas, etc.--the frozen, sluchy drinks...
