Well certainly, even the finest women are in need of a makeover from time to time. Sounds like the old gal needs one. As far as "ok" food...hmmmm...I guess different people have different palates.

Glad you at least enjoyed the service!

I was on Millie the week prior to the crossing, and my experience was totally different. I have a full review posted, and it includes noting some visible wear and tear. The ship overall, however, is in fine shape so far as I am concerned, and I would not hesitate to sail on her again. Bland decor, terrible food, and poor entertainment have all combined to win the ship awards as one of the best afloat every year since it was launched.

Different strokes for different folks.

Thanks for your mini review of your Millennium cruise. Maintenance, unfortunately, has slipped on many Celebrity ships over the last few years.
I have not sailed the Millennium but have sailed the Summit and found much of what you reported to be true. The chance of possible propulsion problems also lingers on the Millennium as well as on the Infinity and Summit, which is enough to scare me away from these ships until Celebrity finds a permanent fix. I agree also about the service and food being very good on Celebrity but the service and food has been very good on almost every other cruise line that I have sailed. Considering what a cruise costs, I do expect to be on a ship that is in good mechanical condition and well maintained.

You seem very negative Wave. For the record, I completely disagree with your comments.

I am taking my wife and two daughters on the Millenium March 16th and hope this was a good choice, after reading some of the posts regarding condition, food, etc. I have sailed Celebrity Century 4 times prior and each cruise was excellant.. This will be my daughters first Celebrity cruise, I hope I made a good choice.

I sent you a PM. You have to remember, not everyone who posts has a great deal of experience or many cruises under their belt. You'll have a great time. Be sure to let us all know how you liked it when you return. Have a great time.

If you like the Century you will enjoy the Millie even more is my bet. Have fun planning.
