Celebrity Newbie Questions

I am looking at booking a cabin on the Equinox for February of 2010 and need some advice on balcony cabins. We are Princess regulars and really enjoy the BB cabins on Carib deck since the balconies are much larger. I am looking at the deck plans and notice that some of the cabins appear to have odd shaped balconies and some appear larger than others due to the shapes of the decks. Are there specific category types and/or specific decks and/or specific cabins that anyone might recommend. I'm trying to plan something ahead for a change since this will be for out 30th anniversary. Thanks in advance for help and adive.

I don't think anyone can answer your question yet. Equinox is the second ship in a new class for Celebrity.
The first ship in the class (Solstice) sails this week for its first 7-day itineraries, having just completed a couple
of two and three day "shake-down" runs. So almost none of us have actually seen the ship yet. So, you will
likely have to wait a few more weeks before getting anything but a guess from us.

When I was on Constellation and found I had "half" a balcony - due to Celebrity suite next door..I was shocked. But know what, sure enough, when I went back and carefully looked at the deck plan, it indeed showed a cut off balcony. I'd go with what you see...just look carefully.

Hi stive1, Mike and I were on the Solstice for the christening ceremony cruise. Mike tried to take pictures of every category cabin and the balconies. If you will go to www.thepreismans.com and click on Solstice. This should give you a good preview of what the Equinox will be like.

Carol, those pictures are AMAZING! Ths ship is, of course, a work of art, but your pictures are just plain excellent! Thanks for sharing.

The balconies on the Solstice and therefore by default on the newer ships other than "Suites" are all pretty well the same size. 6 Croc's and a bit by 8 croc's and a bit. My croc's are 12 " :)
The cabins that stick out on the bump out do NOT have bigger balconies like the M class.

Mike and Carol's cabin on the aft. was a little bigger it was the Middle cabin. The aft cabins are not at all like the great big ones on the M class either. We all just got off the Solstice and Mike and Carol will have a new review and more on the Solstice ups shortly I
m sure. With lots of new pics.
