Hello Friends,

On one cruise discount website (I don't think I can mention the name) they advertise that Concierge Class cabins 1122, 1126, 1129 and 1133 on the Century have balconies of 116 sq feet, as opposed to the 42 sq ft of the basic CC cabin. Anyone have any knowledge of this ??

The only "difference" I see in the 4 staterooms you list is that they're quadruple occupancy. There's no difference in verandah size. This is directly from Celebrity, and applies to all 4 cabins you listed...

Look at a Century Deck Plan on the Celebrity site. There is no difference in size of the 4 cabins you list from the surrounding cabins/verandahs. The only difference is that they can hold up to 4 guests. Plug in any of the 4 cabins and you will find Celebrity's stats on the cabins, as I posted above. All 4 show 42 sq. ft. verandahs. Those are Celebrity's figures.

After having been on the Century a few short weeks ago I have to say from first hand sight that the balconies on those 4 cabins have to be 42 sq. ft and NOT 116 sq. ft. The only balconies I noticed of that size dimensions were the newly added Aft Balconies which I must say were VERY nice balconies for what I saw.

Here is a photo that give a decent visual of the Aft Sunset Verandas as well as the starboard side verandas.

These Aft Balconies are portrayed on the deck designs as getting larger as U go up from
Panorama Deck (Deck #9) to the Penthouse Deck (Deck #10). In reality the size of the balconies are actually largest on the Panorama Deck (Deck #9) and decrease in size as U go up to the Panorama Deck (Deck #11).

Also to be noted is the least amount of privacy is on the Panorama Deck Aft Balconies as folks can lean over from the Aft area of the Resort Deck where the Aft Bar is located.
Also be noted that IMO The Aft Bar is one area that should NOT be missed as it is a Gr8 location to bring a breakfast plate from the Buffet and enjoy the views with a cuppa java in hand. Its also open late into the evening and is a Gr8 location to grab a nightcap with the ocean breezes swirling under the moonlit skies.

You guys are the best ! That picture is amazing, and you can bet I will finish a night sitting at the back of the ship. (It's funny, the pictures of the the Sunset Bar remind me of the After Deck Bar in Key West at Louie's, where I will have lunch while in Key West.) Count me in for Happy Hour tonight, it's gonna be a cold one tonight. BRRRRRRRRRRRRR !

Nice helpful photo E. Thks. I see you must have snuck an X cruise in when I wasn't lookin' :)

It's amazing to see the difference now in the Merc's Decks at the rear vs the Century. Merc retains the pool and the outdoor area where the Century has bar and an indoor extended buffet seating. Merc's Deck above has BB courts and top of Pool instead of the Century's new Cabins.

Snuck in a quickie on the Century last month Bsea. Made Christmas shopping easy to say the least. :boogie: Was VERY impressed with the Old Gal and more importantly the NEW Always available menu. Having Creme Brulee available EVERY evening is VERY DANGEROUS. :hammer: 2 X cruises in 3 months is a change for E but I am remembering what I ALWAYS liked about X.
