no, your dh does not need a tux. a suit is fine. as far as alcohol is involved, it depends on the ship and the crew. usually you can take beer and wine on board. I have taken alcohol on board and gotten away with it in its original container but other people have had it confiscated. you can put it in a plastic container such as a mouthwash bottle. also I have had good luck bringing miniatures onboard. make sure you put them in a baggie and wrap it with something like bubble wrap. relax and enjoy the cruise. deb
