Century Food Options

Just wondering how the Century handles the dining nights? Do we order what we'd like to eat before hand, or do we do that once we are seated? Also, what are some options for food while in the dining room? DH and I are first time cruisers. Thanks.

A different menu each evening give to you by your waiter when you sit down for dinner.
There are usually four or five appetizers, a few soups a couple of salads and about five choices of meat fish or pasta. . Desserts usually have five or six choices. If you don't like what you ordered you can order something else.

Just like a restaurant, you go in sit down and look at the menu and then order. There is a diff. menu every night and unlike a restaurant there is no bill to pay at the end :thumb You can order a couple of entree's for instance you want the steak dinner and you also really want the lobster, you can order both and have surf and turf. They go out of their way to make you happy and see that you get exactly what you want, if it is at all possible they will do it ,even if it isn't on the menu.

I have not yet been on the century but have been on the Horizon and zenith. I concur with the above. I think there is also an alternative venue that you need reservations for and is a $2 pp tip extra. it is more informal and the time can be what you want it to be. you can order steak, salmon, spaghetti and chix. I had the salmon and it was delicous. you can also order room service and don't forget the sushi bar,! go to cruiseclues.com and click on menus and see what they have. also look at the ships dailies they have on that site to see what they offer as far as activities. wonderful site.

There is no alternative dining on the Century.
They also post the nights menu on the television and post it outside the dining room during the day. This is nice to check out what you may want to have.
You may also order NY strip everynight. I think they also have a simple chicken dish available if you like.
Our waiter asked us to order doubles or extras at the beginning of the meal, as it is kinda hard to get back into the line.

You can also have anything on the menu from the dining room served in your cabin for dinner. Your cabin steward can bring you the menu and you can order during the hours that the dining room is open. It comes on a rolling table with a table cloth and the 4 sides can be brought up to make the table larger. It is a nice way to have a dinner for 2 .

All Celebrity ships have a casual alternative dining option. There is a small charge ($2) per person and reservations are required. On the Century it is up in the Sky bar.
There is sushi available in the Islands cafe rear.
The two level dining room (The Grand Restaurant) is absolutely beautiful. You will be assigned to a table as well as a seating.
Order what ever you want, and if you don't like anything on the menu, there is always shrimp cocktail, steak, and chicken available.
The only charge is for soft drinks or alcohol.
Room service is available 24 hours a day.
The dining room is open seating for breakfast and lunch, and the islands cafe has a buffet during those times.
The grill is open by the pool for lunch as well as a specialty sandwich bar. In the morning the grill does omelets and eggs to order as well as fresh made belgian waffles.
