We tried to have the tips removed from our account, but it turned into a big hassle. Because they pool the tips, we were told that if we removed the tips from our account and handed them to a crew member in person, that crew member would have to turn in the tip to be pooled with the rest. We wanted to tip our room steward extra because he was so wonderful, but didn't know what to do. We finally did hand him some extra cash and wether he reported it or not, I don't know. I would much rather pay a little extra and cruise on a nicer ship with better service.By the way, I just got my reservation confirmation from my travel agent for my August 2005 cruise on the Century. Now I only have to get through the next 9 months!
