Changing confirmed excursions

We tried to change an excursion on the Cruise Personalizer, but it was too late. When our documents came, the excursion that we originally ordered was confirmed. Has anyone changed a confirmed excursion while on-board? If so, did you have any problems? Thanks.

Yes, and not a problem at all. It was extremely easy with Princess. (RCI is more of a hassle because you have to pay via credit card ahead of time and then wait for a credit back on your credit card)

With Princess, all you do is go to the Shore Excursions Desk as soon as they are open and tell them you want to cancel that booking. They'll credit your shipboard account and then you can book something else if you want, or just do your own excursion. The only negative could be that you don't cancel the excursion soon enough. They have deadlines for refunds and bookings, so do it ASAP to cover yourself. :)

I agree with what Lady Jag said......very easy to do once on board, but it must be done at least 24 hours before the excursion departs.
